Psyop

Whilst on this years residential to New York we visited the design company Psyop.
I'd already spotted the work they did last year when searching for who created the Coca Cola adverts 'inside the machine.' Whilst on their website I noticed they had created work for numerous different well known brands, always creating something a little different and fun. No two answers to briefs were the same.
The visit itself lived up to my expectations.
The studio had a really fun and laid back atmosphere, there were even 3 dogs wandering around.
All 20 students were taken to their conference room and shown a video of a few pieces of work they had created. Kimmy, involved in the public relations of the company, talked us though the work. She was really helpful and answered any questions people had. She also explained the different process involved in each piece. She discussed how they decided who would work on each project and how they pitched etc. I found this both useful and interesting. Finding out how they produced each piece was fascinating but It also helped me to understand a little more about how the industry worked. Her comments about pitching and how they chose which designer would complete each project was really helpful to know.

After seeing more of their work my favourite remains the work they did for coca-cola "inside the coke factory." The characters and the story is fascinating and the finished visuals are beautiful.
